THE ALTIMA ADVANTAGE – CONTINUING EDUCATION

Altima's professional dental teams are dedicated to ensuring their patients achieve optimal dental health - for life. Our passion for professional excellence motivates us to continually upgrade our skills and systems.

Altima’s Occlusion & Esthetics Program is a series of modules designed specifically for Altima Dental with input from five of the leading dental learning centres in North America. These are Pankey Institute in Florida, Seattle Institute in Washington, Misch Institute in Michigan, Kois Institute in Seattle, Washington, and Dawson Piper Centre in St. Pete’s, Florida.

The program was designed to help dentists understand advanced concepts in esthetics, occlusion, TMJ disorders, implant dentistry and emerging technologies. It enables Altima Dental’s dentists to educate patients about many of the current concepts and treatments available in modern dentistry.

Advanced and intuitive treatment planning benefits everyone at Altima Dental; the dentist, the team and the patient.

The Altima Occlusion & Esthetics Program is comprised of four modules (plus one advanced module). The course is led by the renowned Dr. Belcastro.

Dr. D. Belcastro, DDS

Dr. Belcastro completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry in 1982, and his DDS degree in 1986 from the University of Toronto. He is an alumni of the Pankey Institute (Key Biscayne Fla.), Seattle Institute (with Frank Spear) and the Misch Institute (advanced oral implantology). He has studied occlusal concepts with Pete Dawson and Mike Piper as well as John Kois.

Dr. Belcastro is a member in good standing with the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the Canadian Dental Association and many other organizations.

In 2009, Dr. Belcastro completed his Masters of Science in Lille France (Department of Implantology). He maintains a practice in Esthetics and Rehabilitative Dentistry including Implant Dentistry in Toronto.
